From a homeowner’s perspective, it’s good to know right off the bat:
- This can be easily installed in an already existing home – it takes about 90 minutes by a handy do-it yourselfer (maybe a little longer if a little electrical work is required) and plumbers are getting familiar with our product, too! It’s advance technology… made to function basically.
- The savings are real, and they definitely add up quick. Customers have shared that the one thing that held them back from getting our D’MAND Kontrols® system sooner was the fear of a high initial expense. But it’s nice to know that ACT, Inc. is founded on family ethics and environmental principles dedicated genuinely to the good of the planet, your wallet, and your quality of living… because while it sounds too good to be true, we don’t want it to be too expensive to make a difference. We truly want to make an impact, and unrealistically high prices would be immoral and leave us all alone in our mission! So resting on the most reasonable prices manageable, ACT, Inc. assures you that you’d make all the money you spent on the system back—purely off of the savings you acquire!—after just two years.
- It accumulates such savings because it doesn’t run consistently. Most homes run on a timer, meaning they run almost all day. Our system uses a technology that runs until the water is hot, and only runs again when it drops below a certain temperature and when the user activates it. Upon installation the heater’s run time declines by 97%–which is a huge chunk of your monthly energy bill.
So we figured you’d have some questions, like—
How does it work? The electronic D’MAND Kontrols® system works in existing homes on command by wireless/wired activation buttons, motion sensors, voice-activation and flow switches. Easy to install, the system connects at or under the most distinct fixture from the water heater to get hot water to any point of the home right away.[i]
What else would I, as a homeowner, want to know?
- Our systems life expectancy ranges from 15-20 years
- Saves homeowners over $3,000 between 5 and 10 years
- Gets immediate hot water by either a motion sensor or button touch
- The cost of operation is less than $1 a year
- Made in America and distributing internationally for over 23 years
- Such geothermal systems don’t depreciate in value! (In fact, the system adds value to the home—they’re more likely to get a return on the investment)
- Savings of between $200-$400 per year
- It doesn’t require new piping or plumbing; it utilizes existing hot and cold water pipes
- Hot water available for 24 hours a day (by running at a max for 2 hours a day)

[i]Need a more technical explanation? Here you go: Once activated by the user using the existing hot and cold water lines, the system rapidly displaces ambient temperature water through the cold water line to the water heater. Once the hot water has reached the fixture, the sensor closes the valve and turns off the pump, not allowing hot water to enter the cold water line. On new home construction (Structured Plumbing®) the D’mand system is located at the water heater on a dedicated hot water return line. When hot water is demanded by the user, the demand system cycles hot water rapidly and shuts down on a delta-T rise of temperature.
