If You’re a Designer or Architect…

As a designer or architect, we think it’s important that you know:

  • Designing a home with Structured Plumbing® enhances the value of the property. You’re someone who already understands how to deeply evaluate the structure of a home so you already know: convenience sells. Hot water quicker than the rest? Up in value. Top-of-the-line advanced sustainable features? Up in value. The guarantee that there will be drastic water savings, promoting lower energy bills? Up in value.
  • When drawing up a house, make sure you’re illustrating a home with a future. Our systems last 15-20 years, and extends the life of the home’s tank or tankless water heater by 5-10 years.
  • It’s often the hard job of the architect to convince their clients to trust them—you’ve said things like “You might not be able to visualize it right now, but just trust me, it’ll be would be great”, right? Well, working in sustainability you better believe we’ve had to say “You might not be able to imagine the savings now, but just trust us, they’ll be great”. So trust us when we say energy efficiency is a huge house investment.

We anticipated you’d have some questions like—

How does it work? The electronic D’MAND Kontrols® system works in existing homes on command by wireless/wired activation buttons, motion sensors, voice-activation and flow switches. Easy to install, the system connects at or under the most distinct fixture from the water heater to get hot water to any point of the home right away.[i]

How does it save? Easy—it doesn’t run nonstop!

What else would I, as home designer, want to know?

  • Immediate hot water by either a motion sensor or button touch
  • Made in America and distributing internationally for over 23 years
  • Geothermal systems don’t depreciate in value! (In fact, the system adds value to the home—they’re more likely to get a return on the investment)
  • Return on Investment (ROI) is less than 2 years

[i]Need a more technical explanation? Here you go: Once activated by the user using the existing hot and cold water lines, the system rapidly displaces ambient temperature water through the cold water line to the water heater. Once the hot water has reached the fixture, the sensor closes the valve and turns off the pump, not allowing hot water to enter the cold water line. On new home construction (Structured Plumbing®) the D’mand system is located at the water heater on a dedicated hot water return line. When hot water is demanded by the user, the demand system cycles hot water rapidly and shuts down on a delta-T rise of temperature.
